Pathology is the study of the causes and effects of disease and injury. The term pathology also refers to the study of diseases in general and encompasses a wide range of biological research areas and medical practices. It is often used in a narrower sense to refer to the processes and tests involved in the modern medical field of "pathology." A related medical specialty that diagnoses disease primarily through the analysis of tissue, cell, and fluid samples. Idiomatically, "pathology" can also refer to the prediction or actual course of a particular disease (as in the sentence "many different forms of cancer have different pathologies", in this case more an appropriate word choice would be "pathophysiology") and the affix pathy are sometimes used to denote pathologies of both physical ailments (such as cardiomyopathy) and psychological conditions (such as psychopathy). Physicians who practice pathology are called pathologists.

Cytopathology (sometimes called "cytology") is the branch of pathology that studies and diagnoses disease at the cellular level. Usually used to diagnose cancer, but also to diagnose certain infections and other inflammatory conditions, thyroid lesions, diseases affecting sterile body cavities (peritoneum, pleura, cerebrospinal), and many other parts of the body is also helpful. Cytopathology is generally used on samples of free cells or tissue fragments (as opposed to histopathology, which examines whole tissue). However, cytological samples can be prepared by other methods, including cytocentrifugation.

Forensic pathology focuses on determining cause of death through autopsy of cadavers or partial remains. An autopsy is usually performed by a coroner or coroner, and is often done during a criminal investigation. In this qualification, coroners and coroners are also frequently asked to verify the identity of the corpse. Although the requirements to become a licensed forensic pathologist vary by country (and within certain countries), the minimum requirement is usually a Doctor of Medicine degree with a specialization in general or anatomical pathology, followed by a degree in forensic medicine. is. Methods used by forensic scientists to determine death include examination of tissue samples to determine the presence or absence of natural diseases and other microscopic findings, toxicological interpretation of body tissues and fluids, and overdose. poisoning, or determining the chemical cause of other related cases. Identification of toxic substances and investigation of physical trauma. Forensic pathology is an important part of the multidisciplinary field of forensics.

Histopathology refers to the microscopic examination of various forms of human tissue. Specifically, in clinical medicine, histopathology refers to the examination of a biopsy or surgical specimen by a pathologist after the specimen has been processed and tissue sections placed on slides. This is in contrast to cytopathology methods that use free cells or tissue fragments. Histopathological examination of tissue begins with surgery, biopsy or autopsy. Tissue is removed from the organism's body and placed in a fixative that stabilizes the tissue to prevent decay. The most common fixative is formalin, but fixation of frozen sections is also common. Sections are stained with one or more dyes to view the tissue under a microscope. The purpose of staining is to visualize cellular components. A counterstain is used to create contrast. Histochemistry refers to the science that utilizes chemical reactions between laboratory chemicals and components within tissues. The tissue section is then diagnostically interpreted and the resulting pathology report includes the histological findings and the pathologist's opinion. For cancer, this represents the tissue diagnosis required for most treatment protocols.

Digital pathology is a specialized field of medicine that involves scanning and storing digital images of tissue samples and slides, and using them to diagnose and treat diseases. It is a rapidly developing technology that has revolutionized clinical diagnosis and research. Digital pathology works by scanning slides containing tissue samples into a digital format. This process, called whole slide imaging (WSI), produces high-resolution digital images that can be analyzed, manipulated and stored digitally. These images are then uploaded to a server, allowing them to be viewed and analyzed by clinicians, researchers, and pathologists. Digital pathology offers numerous advantages over traditional methods of pathology. Firstly, digital images are more detailed and can be magnified up to 400 times. This allows for a more accurate diagnosis, as pathologists can distinguish between small details that may otherwise be missed. Secondly, digital pathology can be used to store images over time, allowing for trends and patterns to be tracked, and helping to improve the accuracy of diagnosis. Furthermore, digital images can be shared and accessed remotely, allowing for the rapid exchange of information and collaboration across multiple disciplines.

Neuropathology is the study of disorders of the tissues of the nervous system, usually in the form of either a small surgical biopsy or an autopsy. Neuropathologists typically work in anatomic pathology departments, but work closely with the clinical disciplines of neurology and neurosurgery, which often rely on neuropathology for diagnosis. Neuropathology is also relevant to forensic pathology as brain disease or brain injury may be related to the cause of death. Neuropathology should not be confused with neuropathy, which refers to damage to the nerves themselves (usually the peripheral nervous system) rather than to tissues. Neuropathology combines the fields of the nervous system and tissues into one area of his study.

Oral and maxillofacial pathology is a dental specialty concerned with the nature, clinical and microscopic diagnosis, management, and most importantly non-surgical treatment of oral disease. An oral pathologist performs a microscopic examination of tissues in the mouth. These tests allow us to identify the cause of a lesion or disease, determine its prognosis, and treat accordingly. Oral pathologists examine and study the causes, processes, and effects of diseases that begin in the mouth and jaws. Oral pathologists generally do not provide direct patient care. Rather, they use laboratory tests, radiographs, microscopy, biochemical tests, or other tests to diagnose the case, and a biopsy is performed in consultation with the dentist or other doctor treating the patient. increase.

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer and the second leading cancer-related mortality rate.
Breast cancer can be divided into two groups, mainly following the.
Carcinoma and sarcoma. Carcinoma is a cancer that arises from the epithelial component of the breast. The epithelial component consists of cells lining the lobules and terminal tubes. Under normal conditions, these epithelial cells are responsible for milk production. Cancer accounts for the majority of all breast cancers and is discussed below. Sarcoma is a rare cancer that arises from the stromal (connective tissue) component of the breast. These stromal component cells include myofibroblasts and vascular cells, and cancers arising from these "supporting" cells include phyllodes tumour’s and angiosarcomas. Sarcoma accounts for less than 1% of primary breast cancers.
Breast pathology is a rapidly evolving field that plays an important role in diagnosing breast disease and providing prognostic and predictive parameters to guide treatment decisions.

Gynaecologic pathology is the branch of medical pathology that deals with the study and diagnosis of diseases of the female reproductive system. A physician who practices gynaecological Pathology is a gynaecological pathologist. Gynaecologic pathology provides accurate and timely advice for diagnostic and therapeutic biopsies. Specimens include vulva, vagina, cervix, uterus, metastatic lymph node disease, fallopian tubes and ovaries. This service is aimed at practicing pathologists who need help with difficult cases, and gynaecologists and patients who need a second opinion. Reproductive pathology deals with the reproductive system of the body. Testicular and ovarian pathology focuses primarily on neoplasms. Testicular Tumors are derived from germ cells, and ovarian tumours are derived from epithelial cells. In the penis and cervix, squamous cell carcinoma is caused by HPV. There are three pathological processes, acute prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and prostatic adenocarcinoma. Urology is the study of pathology that deals with the urinary tract or urinary system. Also called urology. Various organs such as kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra are involved in urine production and excretion. Kidneys work by producing urine to remove liquid waste from the body. Kidney stones can form due to the imbalanced excretion of minerals and acid salts in the urine.

The Pathology Department of Paediatric and Perinatal Pathology focuses on placental, fetal, and neonatal studies. Paediatric pathology is similar to histopathology but focuses on children. Many of the diseases they represent are different from adult diseases, and some of the changes can be subtle. Because paediatric pathology is generally based in tertiary referral centers, specialized children's hospitals, the spectrum of disease is wide and cases can be very challenging. Perinatal pathology is the study of the fetus and neonate. Perinatal pathologists are passionate about having a working knowledge of normal fetal development, congenital anomalies, and early issues during pregnancy, labor, and the neonatal period.

Dermatopathology is the study of skin diseases at the microscopic level, including examining possible causes of skin, nail, or hair diseases at the cellular level. The subfield of dermatopathology is a combination of dermatology (diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair and nails) and pathology (microscopic detection of diseases). It also helps in analyzing skin diseases at a basic level. Dermatologists recognize skin disorders by their appearance and behaviour. Additional specialized examination will be performed using flow cytometry, molecular pathology analysis, and electron microscopy. Dermatopathological cases may include melanoma and other skin diseases. Immune diseases, infectious diseases and childhood diseases. Dermatopathologists provide physicians with personalized consultation services, including analysis of medical information combined with microscopic examination.

Orthopedic pathology, also known as bone pathology, is a subfield of surgical pathology that deals with the diagnosis and characterization of many bone diseases and specifically studies the causes and effects of musculoskeletal disorders. In addition to gross and microscopic findings, findings from in vivo radiological examinations and sometimes radiographs are used to diagnose bone disorders.
Orthopedic disorders may be congenital, and there may be genetic and environmental factors that affect the normal functioning of bones, joints, or muscles. Other causes of bone disease include severe impact/injury and weak bone/bone atrophy.
Many patients diagnosed with bone disease have no risk factors. However, there are risks such as chronic diseases, illness, radiation exposure, and genetic factors. Although the direct cause of bone tumour formation has not yet been identified, possible causes include bone injury, radiation therapy, and genetics.
The impact of bone disease varies by disease. Its effects are physical, mental and economic and affect an individual's quality of life. Orthopedic conditions can have a significant impact on a person's functional abilities. People with bone disease may experience complications such as extreme pain, fractures, loss of size, and mobility. It may also make it easier to wake up. Many of these bone diseases can lead to poor mental and physical health. In addition to physical effects, bone disease can also have psychological effects, adversely affecting a person's way of thinking, body image, and self-esteem, leading to feelings of helplessness and fear of falling.

Pathogens and their mechanisms are very different from those found in animals, but plants are characterized by fungi, oomycetes, bacteria, viruses, viroids, virus-like organisms, phytoplasmas, protozoa, nematodes, and parasitic plants. Damage caused by insects, mites, vertebrates, and other small herbivores is not considered part of the field of plant pathology. This field is relevant to the epidemiology of plant diseases, and in particular to horticulture of species of great importance for human nutrition and other human utility.
