Dr. Jason X. Cheng stayed at University of Chicago to get his Hematopathology fellow under the guidance of Dr. James W. Vardiman, one of the top authorities in Diagnostic Hematopathology. He completed his fellowship training in 2010, and then became an assistant Professor in University of Michigan at Ann Arbor where he was the head of Epigenetics Laboratory. Dr. Cheng came back to become a faculty in the Hematopathology Section at University of Chicago in 2013. He has quite a few scientific publications and a patent issued by the U.S. patent agency. He also had multiple awards including Cancer Research Foundation Young Investigator Award, the society for Hematopathology Pathologist-in-Training Award, the Paul E. Strandjord Young Investigator Award from Academy of Clinical Physicians and Scientists, the Robert E. Priest Fellowship, …etc.

Kristin is serving clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics and life science tools industries, with a focus on company and investor commercial strategy and M&A support for diagnostics, life science research and pharmaceutical companies. She is also the creator and leader of EY Precision Medicine™. Prior to joining EY in 2013, Kristin was a partner and owner of Health Advances, where she managed the firm with four other partners and developed and led a global Diagnostics and Life Sciences practice focused on product and service strategy, corporate strategy, health economics and deal diligence. She is also a founder of DxInsights, a nonprofit organization designed to educate the nation’s health care communities on the impact of diagnostics in improving health care outcomes. Kristin earned a BA in Biochemistry from Smith College and an MS in Epidemiology, Health Management, and Maternal and Child Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Epidemiology

Dr. Siew-Khin Tang, known to her friends and colleagues as "Happy", joined Dorevitch Pathology in July 2006. After 17 years at the Alfred Hospital as a Consultant Anatomical Pathologist and Cytopathologist, with a brief stint in private pathology, she returned in 2004 to the Victorian Cytology Service where she had previously worked closely with Dr. Michael Drake (1962 - 1968, 1973 - 1979), the doyen for the Victorian Cervical Cancer Screening Service in the 1960s. Her return to histopathology at Dorevitch Pathology has been prompted by her strong interest in endoscopic biopsies of the Gastrointestinal tract, breast and gynaecological pathology. She is well known for her experience in the wide field of cytopathology, including Fine Needle Aspiration cytology. She is currently expanding her interest in dermatopathology.

Victoria Dowling is a 29 year old General Surgeon and Coloproctologist from University Hospital of Caracas, Venezuela, where she currently works. At present she belongs to a surgery team that has conducted over 500 operations related to the study of EFFICACY IN THE USE OF LOCAL ANESTHESIA IN PATIENTS WITH SURGICAL INTERVENTION FOR THE RESOLUTION OF ANORECTAL PATHOLOGIES.

Dimitrios H. Roukos, MD, Ph.D., is Professor of Surgery – Precision Cancer Medicine and Founding director of “Centre for Biosystems and Genome Network Medicine” in the Ioannina University, School of Medicine. His translational and clinical research from traditional and single gene investigation to molecular networks and clinical cancer genome NGS analysis has been recognized by the international scientific community. He has published more than 236 PubMed papers with recent focus on NGS conventional and breakthrough genome analysis (> 80 articles) and more recently in precision cancer medicine (31 articles). These publications have received more than 8420 citations with h-index: 72 (Scopus). He is a reviewer in many high impact journals including some with impact factor (IF) >30, evaluator in innovative research projects (EU, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Poland), and member in the editorial board of 25 international journals with IF. He has been invited as a speaker in many international and world congresses
